    I love the response of the seasoned pilot to your question if he ever gets "sick" of cropdusting and flying helicopters: "Not really! I can't see how" and this big smile on his face!! This is the best job for pilots! Such a great training on the controls, for precision and timing... not to mention these precise landings on the trailer for refilling the tank with the chemicals!! Fantastic!!

    My goodness, Jerry is grunting and moaning around about his 10 acres while any opportunist would be Johnny on the spot grabbing free $12 beans and planting your measly 10 acres in late June. At 50 bu/acre that’s 500 bu. You can suck that up with a vac in 20 minutes with zero inputs. THINK dude, THINK.

  • @larrygro
    @larrygro 24 дня назад

    I would rent a vac, tell the railroad I could suck them out for them and only take 100%. You wouldn’t even have to farm that 10 acres, you would make bank. Don’t worry about your stinking 10 acres

    Yields were 26 bshl per acre until 1936. This is what all farmers had as yield for 12,000 years. Then grew to 56 per acre by 1955, then exploded to 185 from 1955 to present. No methane, no nat gas, no fertiliser, no 185 bshl per acre. 4 billiion do not eat if no methane.

    Soil diversity comes from plant, insect, and wildlife diversity. It's all critical to the process. Modern agriculture kills off all the diversity and never allows a humic layer to establish between chemicals and tillage. With the proper natural amendments, organic input, and plant diversity for the biology in the soil to feed on your soil will have no choice but to be productive. The life will invade it. Clay, carbon, bone and blood meal, minerals, beneficial biology,.. The benefits of Lactobacillus are incredible. The enzymes in seed sprout teas are crucial for breaking down the nutrients in the soil. And the sugars in molasses keep the biology alive while adding nutrients like phosphorus. Fermented teas are just any yard scrap you can shove in a bin with some molasses and whey or lactobacillus. You can make a big batch pretty easy. Feeding the soil everything it needs constantly. Silica for strong stalks and leaves and to help fight off pests and disease. Livestock to graze the area and cycle the nutrients back into the soil feed and produce manure then trampling it in year after year. That's how you produce a healthy crop, raise healthy livestock, and in turn healthy clean food and produce. All while benefiting the environment in a major way possibly keeping essential endangered species of pollinators alive that keep the plants that feed them and the animals that feed on the plants alive. It's all essential to the process. Again. Modern agriculture is only destructive of that process. Because of that we have a wide range of issues. Most of the soil is devoid and Barron. Compactions of dead dry earth. No till soil is so full of life it'll keep you harvesting or grazing long into the winter months because the biology will produce that much heat that it'll keep the plants healthy. Which means less hay to bale and grain to feed. Healthier animals. And in turn your health will improve. Just like those enzymes help the soil your gut and your body overall requires the cultures and the nutrients without the contamination to thrive. And it's no small thing. What goes into your gut effects everything else. It's not complicated. It's just simple. It's a system. All yo have to do is work with it and benefit it and year after year your knowledge will grow and your soil and everything it effects will continue to grow.
